Upcoming Events at Marz Aerial Arts & Fitness

I can't believe October is already gone! We had such a busy, festive month, complete with vampires, ghosts, witches, spiders, and more - and it all came together this past weekend at our Fall Aerial Showcases!
We had an INCREDIBLE turnout for our first Showcases in our new Aerial Studio this weekend and I couldn't be more proud of our performers, our community, and all of the supportive people that we have in our lives for putting all of the hard work, passion, and energy into making these two events as spectacular as they were. I was absolutely blown away by each and every performance. I had a really rough start to the weekend (sometimes your body forces you to take a day off) but I ended the weekend in awe of our creations and full of appreciation for everyone who helped bring these shows to life! Thank you all so much!
We have a couple schedule changes for November, including some returning classes, so I'm sharing some updated schedule graphics below. You'll see our second instance of Sling 1 move from Wednesdays to Thursdays at 7pm with Natalie, Silks 2 return to Thursdays at 7pm, Silks 1 move to Wednesdays at 6pm, and the return of the Tuesday 5pm Pole Fitness Open Gym with Coco. Not listed below is all of our Standard Workshops: Full Body Warm-Up & Stretch, Core Pilates, Handstand Conditioning, Yoga, Full-Body HIIT, and Aerial Yoga; there are now options almost every day of the week to supplement your Aerial and Pole Fitness training!

Youth Aerial Classes
Enrollment is open for our November AND December Youth Classes: both 3-week series due to the Holidays. New this month, Level 2 students can register for Tuesday and/or Thursday classes. The November series starts TODAY, Monday, November 4th.

Aerial Lyra Twerkshop with Liv
Join us for an empowering and fun Specialty Workshop that blends Poleography fundamentals with the Aerial Lyra! We'll explore confidence in twerking and wearing heels on the Lyra.

Pilates for Aerialists at Transcendent Wellness
Thanks to Amanda Smith, we have been invited to join a Pilates for Aerialists Workshop at Transcendent Wellness on Saturday, November 16th. Space is limited - please register on the Transcendent Wellness website!

More Showcases!?
We have started planning for our first 2025 Showcase, which will be an 18+ Pole Studio Showcase in February! This is your opportunity to put together a routine with what you've learned in our Pole Fitness, Heels, Chair, and other classes at the studio. Please complete the form below if you are interested in performing and I will update your Mindbody account so that you can book the Pole Performance Practices with Tori that start on Saturday, November 16th, at 11am!

New Bern Pride Aerial Workshop
Join us for a fun, inclusive, and welcoming aerial workshop on Friday, November 8th, from 6:30-8:30pm! This is open to members of the LBGTQ+ community and allies, and is $15; Marz Aerial Members get a 10% discount.

We are excited to announce that our Marz Aerial Performance Team will be part of the evening's entertainment for the Home Builders Association of Craven and Pamlico Counties 2024 Venetian Carnival Gala on Friday, December 6th!
Proceeds from this year’s Gala will benefit the Volt Center and relief efforts in Western NC.

We are so proud to announce that Jess Saxon, one of our Marz Aerial Instructors & Performers, has been accepted to perform at the Silent Fright Circus Show hosted by Purple Marble Circus in Durham! Get your tickets now and come with us to celebrate & support this exciting (18+) circus event!

Saturday, December 14th, 7-10pm | Marz Aerial Studio
Save the date for our annual Marz Aerial Holiday Party! I invite all who take/have taken classes with us to join us and celebrate the year and the upcoming Holidays together. If you are feeling generous, please bring a dish to share - and please be sure to label ingredients for allergens!
You also have the option to bring a gift (up to $20 limit) for our gift exchange game. As for dressing up: Please feel free to wear your comfiest Holiday sweater or pajama pants, or dress up in a sparkly outfit, like a Christmas tree or other décor!

If you are a member or attend on a drop-in basis, make sure to join our Marz Aerial Community group on Facebook! This is a community forum to stay up-to-date on studio events and class offerings and contribute your ideas to help our team make the studio the best that it can be. It can be accessed through the Marz Aerial Facebook page under the "Groups" tab. Important studio updates & events will still be communicated via email and the MindBody schedule communications.
